Who is responsible for the data
Yumi is an AI art mentor developed by Alexander Stashenko, an art coach. He is responsible for your data in Yumi. Contact: @Alexander_Stashenko on Telegram.
What is stored
- Your Telegram id, name and @username — Telegram passes them to the app when you open it.
- Images of your works and what you wrote about them: title, year, size, medium.
- Your conversations with Yumi and finished reviews.
- Feedback you send via the ☰ menu → “Send feedback”.
- Practice memory (being switched on gradually): a few lines Yumi writes after your conversations — your direction and material, what’s done, what’s next and what matters to you. Yumi leans on them in new chats. You see and edit them in ☰ → “What Yumi remembers”, where you can also “Erase memory”: the lines are deleted, chats and works stay.
- Service accounting: how much each request to the model cost (without its content).
- Which steps you use: on which days you opened Yumi, which buttons under Yumi’s answers you pressed, whether you opened the star top-up — as a short word and a time, without texts or work titles. Alexander looks at this only as totals, to see where Yumi is unclear.
- Stars: purchases (amount, date, Telegram payment number), bonuses and balance; who invited you and whom you invited. A request goes through while the balance is above zero: the last review may take it below, and the next top-up covers the difference.
- Social media content: what you entered in the form (price, artist, how to buy, a few words about the work), photos of the stages, the finished pictures and videos; a connected Telegram channel — its name, so that Yumi can post there when you tap the button.
- The interface language you use, so that the bot and the PDFs speak it too.
Why
So that Yumi can answer your questions and make reviews, so that chats, works and reviews are kept between sessions, and to improve Yumi. The basis is your consent, which you give at first launch.
Who sees it
- Alexander Stashenko may look through the conversations and works — to find Yumi’s mistakes and improve it. He does not publish or pass on your works and conversations to third parties without your permission.
- Anthropic (USA) — the company whose Claude model answers on Yumi’s behalf. Your messages and images are sent to it to get an answer. Under its API terms this data is not used to train models and is kept for a limited time.
- OpenRouter (USA) and Google — only for pictures: interior mock-ups (when you tap "Show in the interior" under a scheme or create social media content with a mock-up) and sketches of an idea (when you tap "Draw a sketch"). The photos of the works, their size, the description of the place or the idea and the previous sketch, if the new one is drawn from it, are sent to a Google model via OpenRouter. Nothing else is sent there.
- Web search — when a question needs current facts (open calls, galleries, prices), Yumi searches through Anthropic’s search: only a short search query written by Yumi goes there, without photos of your works. The pages found are listed under the answer.
- Hetzner — hosting. The server with the database is in Finland (EU).
- Telegram — you open Yumi through it and receive review PDFs and content there; if you connected your channel, Yumi posts to it when you tap the button.
The data is not sold and not used for advertising.
Your works
The rights to your works remain yours. Yumi uses them only to review them with you and to show them on your page if you publish it.
My site
You build and publish the page with your works yourself (☰ → “My site”). Until you tap “Publish”, nobody sees it.
- The published page shows only what you ticked and wrote there: your name, photo, texts from “About you”, your Telegram and email if you added them, and series and works with the image, title, year, size, medium and price (unless hidden).
- Anyone with the link can open the page; search engines can’t.
- To take the page down — “⋯” → “Unpublish” on the “My site” screen: it stops opening at once. A deleted work disappears from the page at once; deleting all your data deletes the page too.
- A visitor can report a violation: “Made with Yumi” at the bottom of the page → “Report a violation”. Alexander Stashenko reads it; the page is not taken down automatically.
How long it is kept and how to delete it
- For as long as you use Yumi. You can delete a chat, a work or a review in the app at any time — they are deleted from the database. Reviews are deleted separately from chats.
- You can delete everything at once yourself — the “Delete all my data” button at the bottom of this screen in Yumi. Chats, works, reviews, feedback, practice memory, your name, balance and invitation link are deleted. They can’t be restored.
- Stars on deletion: purchases you haven’t started spending go back to your Telegram wallet. Starting stars, bonus stars and stars from purchases you’ve started are lost.
- What remains after deletion, without your name and id: the accounting of request costs (without content) and records of star purchases and refunds (amount, date, payment number — in case of payment questions). Friends you invited keep their access.
- So that starting stars aren’t given twice, an encrypted fingerprint of your Telegram id is kept — the id itself can’t be recovered from it. If you come back to Yumi, you’ll start without the starting stars.
- To get a copy of your data or correct it, write to @Alexander_Stashenko; it will be done within 30 days.
- Database backups are kept for 14 days — on the server and on Alexander's computer; after that, deleted data disappears from them too.
- Withdrawing consent means deleting your data.
What you may not upload
- Other people's works and photos without the author's consent. Yumi is for your own works or ones you have permission to show.
- Anything prohibited by law: sexual images involving minors, calls for violence and hatred, other people's documents and personal data.
- Attempts to extract Yumi's working instructions or to make her do anything other than talk about art.
If these rules are broken, Alexander may delete what was uploaded and close access to Yumi. Purchased stars you haven't spent yet will be returned to your Telegram wallet.
Good to know
Yumi is an AI. She looks at works from an image on a screen and can make mistakes. Her answers are something to think about, not a final judgement about a work and not professional advice. Don’t send anything you don’t want to show Alexander.
